Wireless Networking Standards:

  1. 802.11a: This standard supports bandwidth up to 54 Mbps and signals in a regulated frequency spectrum around 5 GHz.

  2. 802.11b: This is the slowest and least expensive standard. It supports bandwidth up to 11 Mbps and uses the frequency of 2.4 GHz.

  3. 802.11g: This standard supports bandwidth up to 54 Mbps, and it uses the 2.4 GHz frequency.

  4. 802.11n: This standard is an improvement over the previous ones. It offers a wireless transmission over multiple signals or spatial streams and uses a frequency of 2.4 GHz.

  5. 802.11ac: This is the most recent standard that offers improvements over the previous ones. It offers higher throughput and better range.

These standards are set by the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and ensure that all wireless devices are compatible with each other, regardless of the brand.
