Solution

When CH3NH2 (methylamine) is treated with HCl (hydrochloric acid), it forms a salt. The reaction can be written as follows:

CH3NH2 + HCl -> CH3NH3+ + Cl-

So, the other product is CH3NH3+ (methylammonium ion).

To draw the structure of CH3NH3+:

  1. Start by drawing a Nitrogen (N) atom in the center.
  2. Draw three Hydrogen (H) atoms and one Methyl (CH3) group attached to the Nitrogen atom.
  3. Since it's a positive ion, add a plus sign to indicate the positive charge on the Nitrogen atom.

Remember that Nitrogen has a lone pair of electrons which is used to form a coordinate bond with the proton (H+) from HCl, resulting in the positive charge.
