Name the bones that form the boundaries of the sub occipital triangle

The suboccipital triangle is a region of the neck with important anatomical structures. It is formed by three muscles, not bones. These muscles are:

1. Rectus capitis posterior major
2. Obliquus capitis superior
3. Obliquus capitis inferior

However, the triangle is located beneath the occipital bone at the base of the skull, and the first cervical vertebra (atlas) and second cervical vertebra (axis) are also in this general area.
