Solution

Dear Tariq,

Thank you for sharing your experience with time management. It's impressive to see how you've managed to balance your full-time job, university, gym, and family activities. Your approach to prioritizing tasks, setting goals, building good habits, performing regular time audits, and creating a stop-doing list is commendable.

Your method of breaking down larger tasks into smaller ones is a great strategy to make tasks more manageable and less overwhelming. Regularly auditing your time is also a good practice to identify areas of improvement and adjust your schedule accordingly.

The concept of a stop-doing list is interesting. It's a good reminder that sometimes we need to let go of non-essential tasks to focus on what truly matters.

Keep up the good work and continue to refine your time management skills. Remember, it's all about finding what works best for you.

Best regards, [Your Name]

Re: Week 3 - Discussion Forum by Khristopher Bell - Wednesday, 1 May 2024, 12:39 AM I am currently using two time management strategies outlined in the reading topics. Preparation for success: I have implemented a positive attitude where I always visualize the lesson objectives and see myself as well-prepared for the discussion forums and learning journals. It has positively influenced my energy gauge, and I have internal motivation to pull through the hard parts of the outlined readings. Use my Best Time of Day (BTD): I have put my energy and cognizant-stream tasks in the most productive hours of the day. I focus well and can critically analyze and solve problems in the shortest time possible. My BTD is usually in the mornings between when everyone leaves for school and work and my work "start" time. Preparation and Visualization work well for me because picturing success before my studies is most effective in increasing my motivation and productivity. This pushes me to clearly outline my goals and approach my assignments with a more focused attitude. Also, the utilization of "productivity peaks" helps me to tackle difficult assignments better and has increased the efficiency of my studies. Thus, I can focus my attention better, leading to effective outcomes in my discussion forum assignments and learning journals. Despite having a somewhat established routine, I sometimes get distracted from it. This has been a challenge, with the demands of other responsibilities like family, work, and leisure. I am currently working to refine my university schedule to work in tandem with the other aspects of my life. References: Minnesota Libraries Publishing. (2015).
