Solution

The main output of Process S according to the two-process model of sleep is Sleep pressure. This model suggests that our need for sleep (Process S) is based on two things: our need to recover from fatigue (sleep pressure) and our internal body clock (Process C or Circadian rhythm). As we stay awake and active, our body builds up a need for sleep, which is referred to as sleep pressure. The longer we stay awake, the greater the sleep pressure. Once we fall asleep, this pressure begins to decrease.
