Solution

  1. Start by pouring the salt solution into a shallow dish or evaporating basin.

  2. Next, heat the dish gently on a hot plate or under a heat lamp. This will cause the water in the solution to start evaporating.

  3. As the water evaporates, the salt will start to crystallize out of the solution.

  4. Continue heating until all the water has evaporated. Be careful not to overheat the dish as this could cause the salt to decompose.

  5. Once all the water has evaporated, you will be left with a layer of salt crystals at the bottom of the dish.

  6. Allow the dish to cool, then scrape off the salt crystals using a spatula.

  7. Finally, you can collect the salt crystals and store them in a dry container.

This method is known as evaporation, and it's the best method to obtain a sample of salt from a salt solution.
