What is palaeolithic age? Why is it important?

മഹാകവി കുമാരൻ ആശാൻ (മലയാളം: എൻ. കുമാരൻ ആശാൻ) (12 ഏപ്രിൽ 1871 - 16 ജനുവരി 1924) മലയാള സാഹിത്യത്തിലെ ഒരു കവിയും ഇന്ത്യൻ സാമൂഹിക പരിഷ്കർത്താവും തത്ത്വചിന്തകനുമായിരുന്നു . ആദ്യപാദത്തിൽ മലയാള കവിതയിൽ വിപ്ലവത്തിന് അദ്ദേഹം തുടക്കമിട്ടതായി അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു. 20-ാം നൂറ്റാണ്ട്, അതിനെ മെറ്റാഫിസിക്കലിൽ നിന്ന് ഗാനരചനയിലേക്കും അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻ്റെ കവിതയിലേക്കും പരിവർത്തനം ചെയ്യുന്നത് അതിൻ്റെ ധാർമ്മികവും ആത്മീയവുമായ ഉള്ളടക്കം, കാവ്യാത്മകമായ ഏകാഗ്രത, നാടകീയമായ സന്ദർഭവൽക്കരണം എന്നിവയാൽ സവിശേഷതയാണ്. കേരളത്തിലെ ത്രിമൂർത്തികവികളിൽ ഒരാളും ശ്രീനാരായണ ഗുരുവിൻ്റെ ശിഷ്യനുമാണ് അദ്ദേഹം . 1922-ൽ മദ്രാസ് സർവ്വകലാശാല അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് "മഹാകവി" എന്ന പ്രിഫിക്‌സ് നൽകി ആദരിച്ചു.
