2. As for the role of women, Roman women generally had more legal rights and societal freedoms compared to Greek women. In Rome, women could own and inherit property, and they had the right to divorce. They were also more visible in public life, participating in various social events and religious festivals. In contrast, Greek women, particularly in Athens, were largely confined to the home and had limited legal rights. They were excluded from political life and their primary roles were to manage the household and bear children.
