Solution

(a) The current flowing in the bulb can be calculated using Ohm's Law, which states that the current (I) is equal to the power (P) divided by the voltage (V). In this case, P = 100 W and V = 250 V.

So, I = P / V = 100 W / 250 V = 0.4 A.

Therefore, the current flowing in the bulb is 0.4 Amperes.

(b) The resistance (R) of the bulb can also be calculated using Ohm's Law, which in another form states that the resistance is equal to the voltage divided by the current.

So, R = V / I = 250 V / 0.4 A = 625 Ω.

Therefore, the resistance of the bulb is 625 Ohms.
