Question
create a story of a carbon atom burned at a coal-fired power station. There's more than one possible story – tell just one.
Solution
Once upon a time, in the heart of a dense, dark coal mine, lived a carbon atom named Carby. Carby had been part of a coal seam for millions of years, formed from the remains of ancient plants that had absorbed him from the atmosphere when he was a carbon dioxide molecule.
One day, a loud noise echoed through the mine. Humans had come to extract the coal. Carby, along with millions of other carbon atoms, was dug out and transported to a coal-fired power station.
At the power station, Carby found himself on a conveyor belt heading towards a large, fiery furnace. He was scared but also curious about what was going to happen. As he fell into the furnace, the intense heat broke the bonds holding him to his fellow carbon atoms in the coal molecule.
In the furnace, Carby combined with two oxygen atoms from the air pumped into the furnace. This reaction released a great amount of energy in the form of heat and light, which was used to boil water into steam. The steam then drove a turbine, generating electricity that powered homes and businesses.
Now as a carbon dioxide molecule, Carby was released into the atmosphere through the power station's tall smokestack. He was lighter and freer than he had ever been, but he was also contributing to the greenhouse effect, trapping heat in the Earth's atmosphere.
Carby's journey is not over yet. He may be absorbed by a plant and turned into a new coal seam, or he may stay in the atmosphere, contributing to global warming. His story is a reminder of the complex and impactful journey of carbon atoms through our world.

Subject: ScienceScenario : Ajay was watching television and saw the news about recurring fire accidents in coal mines. He searched about the cause of these fire accidents. He found out that this happens due to the spontaneous combustion of coal dust in the mines, as coal dust unexpectedly bursts into flame without requiring any external ignition. He researched more about combustion and found out that it is a chemical process in which a substance reacts with oxygen to give off heat. The combustion process is of three types, as follows. Rapid Combustion Spontaneous combustion Explosive CombustionSubstance burns rapidly. Substance unexpectedly bursts into flame. Substance burns with sudden production of heat, light and sound. It releases a large amount of heat on burning. It releases a small amount of heat on burning. It releases a large amount of heat on burning. It requires an external ignition. No external ignition is required. It requires an external ignition.Example: the combustion of LPG Example: combustion of sodium on exposure to air Example: burning of firecrackers.Question:5 ) Ajay switches on the stove and brings a burning matchstick closer to the stove. Will the burning matchstick light up the stove?A) Yes, the burning matchstick will light up the stove as the gas burns rapidly on external ignition.B) No, the burning matchstick will not light up the stove, as the gas does not require any external ignition to burn.C) No, the burning matchstick will not light up the stove as the gas is not getting any external heat from the matchstick.D) Yes, the burning matchstick will not light up the stove as the gas burns spontaneously on coming out of the inlets of the stove.NEXT
