Your group has been busy researching content for your paper. You’ve started to write using MLA citations, which is what your instructor requires. One classmate, Andrea, uses a lot of direct quotes and paraphrases from sources. The sources are fully cited, but they make up about half of Andrea’s part of the paper. Jabari has used great supporting evidence in his portion of the paper but only has references in the Works Cited page. There are no citations next to the evidence. Ari has taken a lot of information from reputable sources. He has mostly kept the same vocabulary words but changed the sentence structures. If you didn’t make any more updates to the paper and turned it in this way, do you think your paper would be considered plagiarized? No. Even though some of the sources are not properly cited, these are mistakes that just need to be corrected. Yes. Even though these are mistakes, our paper is plagiarized because some of our sources are not properly cited.
