Solution

The error message indicating that the digital signature on the update file is invalid could be caused by several factors. Here are the most likely causes:

  1. SecureBoot has been enabled in the UEFI firmware configuration: SecureBoot is a security standard developed by members of the PC industry to help make sure that your PC boots using only software that is trusted by the PC manufacturer. If SecureBoot is enabled, it could prevent firmware updates that aren't signed by a trusted source from being installed.

  2. Interim UEFI updates that have been released since the system was manufactured need to be installed before you can install the latest update: Sometimes, firmware updates need to be installed in a specific order. If there have been several updates since your system was manufactured, you might need to install those before you can install the latest one.

  3. The update file has been tampered with: If the digital signature on the update file is invalid, it could mean that the file has been altered in some way since it was signed. This could be a sign that the file has been tampered with.

  4. The system has a rootkit malware infection: A rootkit is a type of malware that can hide its presence on your system. If your system is infected with a rootkit, it could interfere with the installation of firmware updates.

Without more information, it's hard to say which of these is the most likely cause. You might need to do some troubleshooting to figure it out.

It helps with the hardware and loading of the operation system. but from my understanding, UEFI does offer more options in features. UEFI is a lot newer then BIOS and offers more bit. As far as the settings that can be altered with BIOS hardware settings can be modified you can also change the configuration of your computer amongst many other things. you can change how your computer boots up as well. As far as UEFI, I don’t think there would be any reason to change it only because it is a lot better than BIOS and offers more as well. I if i read correctly it can be changed but not recommended. If it was my choice I would go with the UEFI only because it is a more update firmware and offers more then the BIOS.
