Solution

Louis XIV (14th) - He was a significant figure in the Age of Absolutism as he was known as the Sun King and was the monarch of France for over 72 years. He is often associated with the concept of absolute monarchy, where the king holds all power.

Peter the Great of Russia - He was the Tsar of Russia and later became the Emperor. He is known for his extensive reforms in an attempt to establish Russia as a great nation. He led a cultural revolution that replaced some of the traditionalist and medieval social and political systems with ones that were modern, scientific, westernized, and based on The Enlightenment.

Charles I - He was the King of England, Scotland, and Ireland from 1625 until his execution in 1649. He engaged in a struggle for power with the Parliament of England, which led to the English Civil War.

Oliver Cromwell - He was an English military and political leader best known for making England a republic and leading the Commonwealth of England. He came into power after the civil war and the execution of Charles I.

Maximilien Robespierre - He was one of the best-known and most influential figures of the French Revolution. He is most closely associated with the Reign of Terror, a period of extreme violence and bloodshed.

William and Mary - They became co-regents of England, Scotland, and Ireland in the "Glorious Revolution" of 1688. Their reign marked the beginning of the transition from the personal rule of the Stuarts to the more Parliament-centred rule of the House of Hanover.
