The answer is B: decreases, increases.

Here's why:

When the person moves from point R towards point Q, the distance between the person and rod P increases while the distance between the person and rod Q decreases.

Since the force exerted by a rod is directly proportional to the weight it supports and inversely proportional to its distance from the weight, the force at P (which is getting further from the person) will decrease, and the force at Q (which is getting closer to the person) will increase.

So, as the person moves from R to Q, the force at P decreases and the force at Q increases.
