Solution

  1. Zeus is a deity from Greek mythology. He is considered the king of the gods and the ruler of Mount Olympus. Zeus is the god of the sky, thunder, lightning, order, justice, and law. He was the youngest son of the Titans Cronus and Rhea. Cronus, fearing a prophecy that he would be overthrown by his son, swallowed all of his children as soon as they were born. Rhea managed to save Zeus by giving Cronus a stone wrapped in swaddling clothes to swallow instead, while Zeus was hidden away in Crete.

  2. Zeus had seven wives, who were mostly goddesses. Their names were Metis, Themis, Eurynome, Demeter, Mnemosyne, Leto, and Hera.

  3. Zeus's parents were the Titans Cronus and Rhea. His siblings, all swallowed by their father and later freed by Zeus, were Hestia, Demeter, Hera, Hades, and Poseidon.

  4. Zeus had many children, some of the most famous include: Athena (with Metis), the Horae and the Moirai (with Themis), the Graces (with Eurynome), Persephone (with Demeter), the Muses (with Mnemosyne), Apollo and Artemis (with Leto), and several children with Hera, including Ares, Hebe, and Hephaestus.

  5. One of the most famous stories of Zeus's battles is his war against the Titans, known as the Titanomachy. After freeing his siblings from their father's stomach, Zeus led them in a ten-year war against the Titans, eventually defeating them and banishing them to Tartarus. Another famous story is his battle against Typhon, a monstrous serpentine giant who attempted to overthrow Zeus. Zeus fought and defeated Typhon, burying him under Mount Etna.
