Solution

The organelles are copied during the Interphase of the cell cycle. The Interphase is further divided into three phases:

  1. G1 Phase: This is the phase where the cell grows in size and also makes extra proteins and organelles.

  2. S Phase: During this phase, DNA replication occurs. The cell makes a copy of its DNA.

  3. G2 Phase: In this phase, the cell continues to grow and makes proteins and organelles. It also begins to reorganize its contents in preparation for Mitosis.

So, the organelles are copied during the G1 and G2 phases of Interphase.
