Solution

According to Chargaff's rules, in DNA, the amount of adenine (A) is equal to the amount of thymine (T), and the amount of cytosine (C) is equal to the amount of guanine (G).

Given that the amount of adenine is 32%, the amount of thymine will also be 32%.

The remaining percentage for cytosine and guanine combined is 100% - 32% (adenine) - 32% (thymine) = 36%.

Since the amount of cytosine is equal to the amount of guanine, each will be half of 36%, which is 18%.

So, the amounts of the other three bases are: 32% thymine, 18% cytosine, and 18% guanine.

DNA contains four unique bases: adenine, thymine, guanine, and cytosine. These bases pair up in a complementary fashion. This pairing pattern allows for a decrease in mutations during replication and transcription.
