Solution

The statement "Myopia arises due to continuous blinking of the eyes" is not correct about Myopia.

Myopia, also known as nearsightedness, is a common type of refractive error where close objects appear clearly, but distant objects appear blurry. It occurs when the shape of your eye causes light rays to bend (refract) incorrectly, focusing the images in front of the retina instead of directly on the retina.

This can be caused by one of two things: either the eyeball is too long, which is the most common cause, or the cornea (the clear front cover of the eye) is too curved. This excessive curvature of the cornea or elongation of the eyeball causes the light entering the eye to not focus correctly.

However, continuous blinking of the eyes does not cause Myopia. Blinking is a normal function of the eye that helps to spread tears across and remove irritants from the surface of the cornea and conjunctiva. It does not affect the shape of the eye or the refraction of light, which are the factors that cause Myopia.
