The time of ascent < the time of descent

Explanation: When a ball is thrown vertically upwards, it has to work against both gravity and air resistance. This causes the ball to slow down more quickly and reach its peak height in less time. On the other hand, during the descent, both gravity and air resistance are working in the same direction. This causes the ball to fall faster and thus, it takes more time to reach the ground. Therefore, the time of ascent is less than the time of descent when air resistance is considerable.
