Solution

Most of the mass of an atom is located in its nucleus. The nucleus is the center of the atom and it contains protons and neutrons. These particles are much heavier than the electrons orbiting the nucleus, so even though the nucleus is tiny compared to the overall size of the atom, it accounts for almost all of the atom's mass.
