Solution

Water leaves the body through the lungs during the process of respiration. Here are the steps:

  1. Inhalation: When we breathe in, we inhale oxygen along with other gases present in the air. The inhaled air travels down the windpipe and into our lungs.

  2. Gas Exchange: In the lungs, the oxygen in the inhaled air passes into the bloodstream through tiny air sacs called alveoli. At the same time, waste products in the blood, such as carbon dioxide and water vapor, pass back into the alveoli.

  3. Exhalation: When we breathe out, or exhale, the carbon dioxide and water vapor are expelled from our bodies and into the atmosphere. This is how water leaves the body through the lungs.

This process of inhaling oxygen and exhaling carbon dioxide and water vapor is a continuous process that happens every time we breathe.
