Everyone has different needs in college, but mine are all met here at Geneseo.

LOVE

Genny has been very good to me the past 4 years. The people and atmosphere here are amazing, and the elementary ed program is great. The fact that it is small makes it so that you never feel alone and you actually matter to professors. As someone not in Greek life, it is easy to make friends; join clubs and talk to your classmates/ hall neighbors.

I love Geneseo!

So lucky and grateful everyday here at Geneseo. College can be hard but Geneseo has a lot of great resources, events, clubs and organizations that can be alot of fun. Advisement and food is not great but I tend to find some amazing people here at Geneseo. Classes really aren't hard and most professors are laid back
Overall 4.2
Geneseo is a wonderful little college full of great professors. The campus is absolutely gorgeous, especially the sunsets. You may want to skip the cafeteria and eat right on mainstreet because most of the campus food is pretty terrible (aside from the noodle bowls)The school gives you every chance to succeed and was a wonderful 4 years of my life.

Short due to 350 char max -Incompetent staff -Incredibly greedy/Shady practices -School takes zero responsibility for any wrongdoing -Internet goes down for hours at a time -Admins are hostile to good profs while refusing to rid bad ones -Worrying number of shootings and violence in the immediate area -Food will give you diarrhea - terrible housing
Overall 1
Quite honestly the school is awful and there isn't enough room in this comment box to describe all of its flaws. The school doesn't care about its students at all. Be prepared to have no help from the registrar whatsoever. The administration literally cares nothing about you beyond their salaries. What does the President and this Board even do?
Overall 1.1
Students tend to be standoffish and competitive. It could be a more social school. There is so much construction and pollution on campus. The administration is tone-deaf to student demands. Professors are, for the most part, good. Parking could be better.
Overall 1.1
This is a below-average school for average students. Dorms are meh. Professors are meh, and they seem to just be going thru the motions. Student staff is rude. Food is average and there isn't much choice. Kind of a boring school. I'll probably be transferring.

Housing is hard to come by, off-campus apartments are even harder. Lots of Title IX investigations here, a lot of people do not feel safe in the classroom or at the school. The location is beautiful but this University is not.
Overall 1.1
Transferring out as soon as I can. Professors make the work harder than it needs to be even for basic intro classes, staff will take WEEKS to respond to you or just ghost you completely. Wifi never works, even in the academic buildings. Everyone is clichy with each other. Sad excuse for an "honor's" college.
Overall 1.2
The college is in the middle of nowhere and it is incredibly cold here during the winter. The school seems to only want your money. The campus is small and the plants are nice. I wish I had gone to a different college. The school is kind of cheap though so that's the only plus.
Overall 1.2
This is an average school for average students, maybe slightly below average. Dorms are nice. Professors are pretty good, but they seem to just be going thru the motions. Student staff is rude. Food is average and there isn't much choice. Kind of a boring school. I'll probably be transferring.

I would rather have a degree from a community college. it is in the middle of nowhere, and there is a lot of drama from both students and faculty at this school...think cabin fever. Just beware of the cafeteria, it's gross.
Overall 1.2
Went here for grad school only bc I got a really good scholarship. Massive mistake. Should have kept looking for a better opportunity. Many of the staff are fantastic and great to work with but in terms of classes/program and overall dealing with the administration and bureaucracy it has been awful. Would not recommend my program to anyone.
