Solution

1.(a) (i) The first three multiples of 2 are 2, 4, and 6. Their sum is 2+4+6 = 12. The first three multiples of 3 are 3, 6, and 9. Their sum is 3+6+9 = 18. The first three multiples of 5 are 5, 10, and 15. Their sum is 5+10+15 = 30. (ii) The average of K, 2, 3, and 5 is 5. So, (K+2+3+5)/4 = 5. Solving for K, we get K = 20 - 2 - 3 - 5 = 10.
