Dear Luna, I am delighted to hear that Zonglei’s application has been approved, and thank you for sending me a copy of the 90 day entry clearance visa vignette. Please find attached a copy of their BRP Decision Letter that we received from UKVI. Zonglei will now be able to travel to the UK anytime between 12th August 2024 and 10th November 2024. Please see below some important information relating to their visa. 1. Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) Zonglei’s BRP card will be delivered to our office and we will check it for any errors before sending it to the school. They will then be able to collect their BRP card directly from the school once they arrive in the UK. After arriving at school, Zonglei must present their original passport with the visa label so that the school can take a copy of the entry stamp. If their passport is not stamped when entering the UK, then the school will need to see a copy of their e-ticket, boarding pass, or other evidence confirming the date they entered the UK. Zonglei has been granted permission to stay until 30th October 2025, however the BRP will be valid only until 31 December 2024. I can confirm that this is correct and not an error. At this time BRPs can be only be issued with a maximum validity of 31 December 2024. The Home Office has confirmed that from 1 January 2025 a BRP will not be required and Zonglei will be able to prove their immigration status online (eVisa), without a BRP. UKVI will update their information on how to prove their immigration status in summer 2024. You do not need to do anything and Zonglei immigration status will not be affected - it is only the card that will expire, not their permission. 2.
