Every research includes a specific subject, a certain method of research, and analyze the data from the research.  Every research project has its own pros  and cons. By identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the research project, one can use the results efficiently into their practice.  Therefore, it is important to critique an evidence based article.

A nurse researcher includes refereed journals in the literature review because:the journals publish only articles that are primary sources of research findings.the journals encourage competition among authors to have their articles published.the articles are critiqued by a panel of external reviewers.the articles selected for publication are related to a specific field of knowledge.
