Solution
Norton's theorem states that any linear electrical network with multiple sources and resistors can be replaced by an equivalent current source and a parallel resistor. The current source is called the Norton current and is equal to the short-circuit current flowing through the network when all the voltage sources are replaced by short circuits. The parallel resistor is called the Norton resistance and is equal to the resistance seen from the terminals of the network when all the voltage sources are replaced by short circuits.
